Experience, Temperament & Work Ethic
During his many years as a practicing attorney, Michael Pinto has demonstrated that he has the experience, temperament, and work ethic to be an outstanding addition to the Staten Island judiciary.
Michael began his career in a Manhattan based firm where he concentrated on insurance coverage litigation. After working in this field, Michael decided to serve the legal needs of the Staten Island community by working as an Associate in a local Staten Island firm, representing small business owners in commercial matters and helping Staten Islanders with a variety of legal matters.
Today, Michael continues to serve the Staten Island community in his current role as the Principal Court Attorney to the Supervising Judge of Richmond County Civil Court.
EX
Through his work each day as a Principal Law Clerk, Michael knows firsthand how important it is to have a fair and impartial Judge who will uphold the law in the Civil Court, where hundreds of residents have their cases heard each year.
In addition to Michael’s work in the courtroom, Michael is actively involved in the Staten Island legal community, serving as a board member of the Richmond County Bar Association and member of the planning committee of the annual Red Mass.
Fair & Impartial
Born and raised on Staten Island, Michael has been extensively involved in our community. Since 2010, he has served as Executive Director of the Minty Organization for the Performing Arts, which recognizes and celebrates the talents of our high school students in the performing arts.
He also works as an Adjunct Professor at Wagner College, serves on his local community board, and is actively involved in his parish of Our Lady Star of the Sea.
